Explaining to Aaron how SOPA will affect my Youtube jelly reviews
- Me: say i uploaded a video of me like reviewing jams and different jellys and in the background drake was playing and then you linked to that video and were like "oh look at those jams and jellys, thats delicious" and more preserves fans started watching my jams reviews and then it got to a point where drake's record label found out his music was playing in the background we'd all be in trouble
- Aaron: so if drake didn't like his music in the video then everyone that linked to the video would be in trouble?
- Me: "the bill would ban linking to sites deemed offending, even in search results[30] and on services such as Twitter.[31]" it could also destroy the cloud, so say i passed around recipes for jams and jellys on a google doc and perhaps some strawberry jam recipe of paula deen's got on there and she found out and wanted to sue
- Aaron: "deemed offending" what an awful idea why would anyone want to do this everyone uses the internet
- Me: i dont know, but the jams, preserves, and jellys community is fucked
